Fun and Elegant Barn Wedding at Mountain Top Inn in Chittenden, Vermont

I tried hard finding the right words to describe this wedding day and this couple…. The only thing that comes to mind that is even close to how I feel about them is this:

True story alert!

About 6 months after the wedding I was in the car driving to an engagement session and out of the blue, on the radio, their first dance song came up. I immediately started crying and smiling and laughing and just being inundated with a whole lot of memories and emotions from that day. I pulled over and texted Kira right there and then. Tears rolling down my cheeks. Huge smile on my face.

I had to. She had to know exactly how much and how deeply their day left an impression on me.

It had nothing to do with the spectacular view at the Mountain Top Inn and Resort or the carefully chosen details. In turn it had everything to do with the two of them. The people that were close to them and the incredibly heart warming love surrounding them.

With that said, please enjoy the images below.

( Kira and Jarred, THANK YOU for having me document your day :) Love you guys! <3)

I am so excited about this wedding!! | Vermont Wedding Photographer

Most of the time, the first thing I do when I get home from a wedding is download all the files and review some of the pictures. I can't possibly look at them all but I do go back and quickly browse for some good ones. My favorite thing to do is put together a quick sneak peek for the couple. The thought of them waking up to their day in review makes me so happy :))

PS. A sneak peek is not necessarily the best of the best- it's what a sleep deprived, dead tired photographer kept awake by only the thought of your happy faces picked...

( Here is what I sent to Andrea and Philip after their wedding. I can not wait to share the rest of their pictures!!)

Killington MountainWinter Engagement Session|Vermont Wedding Photographer

These two beautiful people are made of gold. Both of them. We met at an event at Mountain Top Inn and Resort and clicked instantly. We talked for a long time, not only about wedding photography but about all sorts of other things.

They immediately felt like family. I am grateful that they chose me to be their wedding photographer.

They met while on a ski/snowboarding trip and they wanted their engagement pictures to reflect the love they have for the mountains and snow and the sport that indirectly brought them together. We met at Killington Grand Resort Hotel where they were staying for the weekend and took a couple of pictures inside before heading out in the freezing cold.

I found the hotel very cozy and welcoming for a cold winter day. They wanted to grab a hot chocolate and drink it in the restaurant conveniently located on the bottom floor by the heated pool area. I really loved the look of it.

After hot chocolate and cozy hugs by the fireplace, we got dressed and went up on Killington peak.

If you are ever in the area, please go and take the gondola up. There is a cute restaurant up on top with the most majestic view. You will be amazed!

I can not even put into words the beautiful winter wonderland that was waiting for us.

Photographers New Years Resolution

Do you know what my last years resolution was?

To renovate a house in 2 months and blog more.

Apparently that was a tall order. Yes, technically, I just compared blogging to renovating a house because clearly I have not accomplished any of these two goals. And I find both to be just as hard.

So, I will now proceed to blog in one last day  (actually, 7 hours) what I did not blog this whole year...

As Enso (my 4 year old) would say:  Ready. Set. Go!! :))

Playa Del Carmen Indian Wedding featured on Vogue!

I don't often blow horns, but when its deserved, I feel like its my duty too :) For those of you that don't know Matei, he is one of my best friends. We also work together a lot and so we get to spend a lot of time together. Usually in the car. In LA traffic. Sometimes, in airports travelling to or from fabulous destinations. Whatever the case, fact is...He is awesome. He is an amazing photographer. This Vogue (OMG!!!Vogue!!!) feature just goes to show exactly that. He deserves it. He works super hard. He also sweats like nobody else and its because what he does is emotionally and physically draining. As a wedding photographer you work like a maniac for a lot of hours. You can't stop. There is no 15 minute break in the middle of it just because you are tired. Or because its literally 110 degrees  outside and you didn't get to have a drop of water in what feels like ages.

For Jessel and Pavits wedding I had the pleasure of tagging along  as his second shooter. It was an adventure! It was challenging in ways I didn't and couldn't foresee at the time.

It was a day in October. I stayed up waaaay past my bed time to get to my overnight flight. I kissed my than 1 year old sleeping baby and had no idea that that hole in my heart will linger for the whole week. I forgot my equipment bag in a crowded Starbucks in the Dallas airport and almost had a heart attack about an hour later when I figured it out. I made really good friends with about 1000 Mexican mosquitoes. (I apparently had something no other had)

Jessel and Pavit were just the greatest hosts and such a beautiful couple!

The whole experience was a dream!

Please click on this link and admire the pictures. Sweat, mosquito bite tears and maybe one or two Margaritas went into the making ;)
